Award Winning Journalist
Tina Jøhnk Christensen is an award-winning journalist, author, translator, podcast host, and producer based in Los Angeles.
Christensen is a Golden Globe Associate and since 2013, she has been a voting member of the Golden Globe Awards.
Within the organization, Christensen served on the Board of Directors of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the Press Conference Committee. She is a regular contributor to the Globes website and podcast series.
Currently, Christensen serves as host and executive producer on Danish Originals, a podcast series in English that features Danish creatives impactful in the US and Danish originality across a wide range of industries. A co-presentation by the American Friends of Statens Museum for Kunst and Statens Museum for Kunst, Danish Originals runs through 2026.
In 2018, Christensen and Ole Henriksen released the bestselling book Det skal føles godt: Tag hjertet med på vejen mod success (translation: It Must Feel Good: Take Your Heart on the Road to Success) published by Politikens Forlag. At present, the two authors are working towards their second non-fiction title, to be published in 2024, also by Politikens Forlag.
Born in Odense, Denmark, Christensen holds a Master of Arts in English Literature and Film Science, and has fluency in Danish, English, German, and proficiency in Italian and French.
Prior to her career in journalism, Christensen was an English/German/Danish translator of fiction and non-fiction titles, and she taught British Film and medieval-to-contemporary literary history at Denmark’s University of Odense. She began her writing career in Italy, and in the last two decades, has occupied the role of Hollywood reporter for major Danish newspapers and Danish and Swedish magazines, specializing in film, industry news, features, interviews, and human interest and travel stories.
Christensen is a member of the Danish Union of Journalists and Fipresci.
